Privacy Policy
Effective date:
Friendly Neighborhood Painter (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Georgia small business serving Metro Atlanta. This Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and your choices. It applies to our website and any forms, emails, SMS/WhatsApp links, and social media we link from the site.
Quick Summary
- We collect contact and project details you submit for quotes/newsletters, and usage data via cookies/analytics.
- We use this to provide estimates, schedule work, send newsletters (opt out anytime), improve the site, and measure ads.
- Georgia currently has a data breach notification law but no comprehensive consumer privacy statute like California’s. You still have meaningful choices—see below.
Information We Collect
- You provide: name, email, phone, service selections, and free-text project details (e.g., cabinet counts, repair notes) via our estimate form or email; your email if you subscribe to the newsletter.
- Automatic collection: IP address, device identifiers, pages viewed, events, approximate location, referral URLs, and cookie/localStorage/sessionStorage data (e.g., remembering you dismissed the newsletter popup for ~30 days).
- Social/communications: if you click our SMS, WhatsApp, phone, or Instagram links, those platforms receive data under their own policies.
How We Use Information
- Provide quotes, schedule services, and communicate with you.
- Operate, secure, and improve the website; debug and measure performance.
- Send occasional newsletters/promotions (typically 1–2 per month). You can unsubscribe anytime.
- Measure advertising effectiveness and (where enabled) build basic audiences.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies and similar technologies (including localStorage/sessionStorage) to operate features (e.g., only showing the newsletter popup on the first page of a new session), understand site usage, and support analytics/ads. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings—doing so may impact site features.
Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site (pages, events, referrers). GA4 processes this data on our behalf and may use it to improve Google products in line with their policies. You can control some analytics and ad personalization in your Google account and via browser add-ons.
Advertising/Measurement (Meta/Facebook Pixel)
We use Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to measure site events and (where enabled) improve/measure ads. Meta may associate site events with your account and use that data per its policies. You can control ads in your Meta settings and with browser/mobile tools.
Email & SMS
- Email: Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails (e.g., scheduling/estimates) may still be sent.
- SMS/WhatsApp: If you text us or click WhatsApp, your carrier/platform may process data under their policies. Reply “STOP” (or platform-equivalent) to opt out of promotional texts.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it. Parents who believe we may have collected a child’s information can contact us using the details below.
How We Share Information

- Legal/compliance: To comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business transfers: In a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, consistent with this Policy.
Data Security & Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No security method is perfect. We retain personal information as long as necessary for quotes, projects, records, security, analytics, and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it when no longer needed.

Data breach notices: If a breach of security exposes your personal information stored in computerized form, we will notify you in the most expedient time possible and without unreasonable delay, subject to law enforcement needs and measures necessary to determine scope and restore system integrity, in accordance with Georgia’s Personal Identity Protection Act. We are not generally required to notify the Georgia Attorney General, but we will comply with any other applicable state or federal notice obligations.
Telemarketing/Do-Not-Call: Georgia’s No Call law restricts certain telephone solicitations to Georgia residents. We do not conduct aggressive telemarketing; if you believe you received a marketing call in error, please tell us and we will not call again.
